All file metadata removal · browser-only

Remove hidden image metadata without uploading your files.

Clean EXIF, GPS, camera data, XMP, IPTC, comments, color profiles, and other metadata containers from images directly in your browser. Choose maximum privacy re-encoding or JPEG lossless stripping for best image quality.

Cleaner

Drop images and create private clean copies.

For maximum privacy, the app decodes the image to pixels and exports a fresh file. For JPEGs, the optional lossless mode removes metadata segments without recompressing the image data.

Maximum privacy creates a new pixel-rendered file. JPEG lossless strip preserves JPEG image data and only removes JPEG metadata segments.

PNG is lossless. JPEG/WebP/AVIF use this quality when the file is re-encoded.

Privacy + image quality

Two modes for different needs.

Maximum privacy re-encode

The browser decodes pixels, applies visual orientation, draws to canvas, and exports a fresh file. This removes original file-level metadata for JPEG, PNG, WebP, and browser-supported AVIF. Use the 98–100% quality range for high-quality JPEG/WebP/AVIF outputs.

JPEG lossless strip

For JPEG files, this removes APP0–APP15 and COM metadata segments without changing compressed image data. It is best when you want privacy metadata removal with no additional image compression.

File metadata removal does not remove visible watermarks or information encoded into the image pixels themselves, such as screenshots containing location text or deliberate steganography.

What gets removed

Common metadata containers are stripped or not copied.

JPEG

Removes EXIF/GPS, XMP, IPTC/Photoshop, comments, JFIF/application metadata, ICC profiles, and other APP segments.

PNG

Removes text, EXIF, ICC, time, physical size, gamma, chromaticity, suggested palette, and similar ancillary metadata chunks from generated output.

WebP / AVIF

Removes WebP EXIF, XMP, and ICC chunks. Browser-generated AVIF output does not copy source metadata blocks.
